THE 2010 FEIS IN New York City ANNUAL IRISH DANCE EVENT IS LOOKING FOR
GOOD SINGERS OF ALL STYLES AS WE SEARCH FOR OUR VERY OWN IRISH IDOL!

The Irish Idol and Music Fest features:
* Audience Voting (50% Judges; 50% Audience)
* Immediate Professional Feedback from a Panel of Professional Musicians
* Awards for this year's Irish Idol and two runner-ups
*Solo winner receives the Paul Thiele Memorial Perpetual Trophy
Ensemble winner receives the Big Apple Presenters Perpetual Trophy
* Irish Idol mementos for all participants
* Publicity for all participants in this first-of-a-kind Irish music fest
Each Irish Idol Contestant must:
* Prepare one IRISH musical number from any genre
Traditional Folk, Contemporary, Spiritual, Rock, Classical
* Selection must be a minimum of two (2) minutes and a maximum of four (4) minutes
Selection should demonstrate the vocalist's strengths in the following areas:
- Ability to sustain positive pitch and tone quality
- Demonstrate a consistent vocal quality throughout presentation
- Demonstrate vocal range
- Selection should be age-appropriate for singer
- Demonstrate ability to appropriately interpret the selection
- Selection should be appealing to the audience
- Creativity in selection and interpretation will be considered
- May be presented with accompaniment (CD, live) or a cappella

Entrance Fee per vocalist: $10; per ensemble (2 or more persons): $25

If not a dancer, register as a non dancer and the Idol comps will be there for selection
